For instance, he was one of the first urological surgeons to pioneer robotic surgery. He then became one of the first expert practitioners in HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound, a form of focal therapy for the treatment of prostate cancer. Most recently, he became an expert practitioner in the TULSA-procedure, another form of focal therapy for prostate cancer treatment that minimize the side effects of incontinence and erectile dysfunction in prostate cancer patients.
